Oh hey there friends!!
Sorry about going MIA there for a bit. I don’t know how or why but something happened with my domain and long story short, my blog site and WordPress platform were not working. Life has been busy (when isn’t it?!) and so I was finally able to get it fixed and now have found the time to come back! I have so much I want to share, since life in #corn-teen has been oh so crazy!
I’ll just start really quickly by saying we are all doing well, staying healthy and like I said, keeping busy! The weather has FINALLY taken a turn for the best so we are soaking up all the sun and fresh air we can. With that, I have really decided NO MORE BS when it comes to my body, health, and workouts.
If you’re struggling with some extra lbs, no stress! These last few months have thrown everybody for a loop, so first and for most, give yourself grace and love your body. It’s so important to keep a positive mental attitude with health and wellness and I know it’s not always easy. I started baking a ton–which I love–but I was also eating a ton and not moving my body like I should and I finally said enough!
If you need some motivation, I thought maybe seeing my baby steps back into workouts would help someone. I also realized how much I have been doing and that I need to record these WINS so that I can continue feeling my best. It’s not so much about fitting into my Summer shorts (that definitely has something to do with it!) but more importantly I love feeling well.
Here’s my “Week in Workouts” from last week!
I will say that I have jumped onto the Peleton App bandwagon and for GOOD reasons! (No, I do not have a Peleton, you don’t NEED any equipment to enjoy this app!) It tracks your workouts so you can easily look back and see what you did and when. I love their workouts, the instructors are super motivating and fun and the classes are short and they work! There are levels for every person no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
Monday 5/18 – 30 Minutes Hip Hop Bootcamp & 10 minute body stretch
Tuesday 5/19 – 20 Minutes 90’s Fun Walk & 20 Minutes Beginner Spin Ride (I did purchase a Sunny Spin Bike)
Wednesday 5/20 — 5 Minute pre-workout stretch & 20 minute Feel Good Ride
Thursday 5/21 –20 minute Bodyweight Strength & 20 minute Beginner Ride & 5 min post ride stretch
Friday 5/22 — 20 min Beginner Ride
Saturday 5/23 — Active rest day — 20 min Pop Fun Walk
Sunday 5/24 — 20 min Beginner Ride & 10 mins arms toning
As you can see, these were not hour long workouts. I didn’t push myself to the point of exhaustion. I just did a little bit each day and that’s what I’ll continue to do as I get stronger, I’ll do more!
I know it’s hard to just start, but if you just do something little every single day, it does get easier!! And you know what? Endorphins are REAL!! I always feel better after a quick spin sesh and getting my body worked up/sweat those toxins out and it truly helps me with the rest of my life. I feel like I am a better mom, wife, daughter, friend and human when I put my beautiful body God gave me to work! We are not meant to be stationary. We are made to move.
What’s one way you’ll sweat this week?! I try to share more motivation on my Instagram stories daily. I also check in with some of my friends to try and encourage each other to move it. My sister is also incredible motivation as she has begun training for another body building competition.
There is no better time to begin, than now.
You’ve got this!!
