It’s hard to believe that 11 years ago we got married! We had such a beautiful day filled with lots of love, family and friends. It was truly a dream come true! Last year we celebrated on the beach with my sister and the kids, and this year my sister took the kiddos overnight so we could have our first date night in well over a year. We had so much fun and really needed that time to connect and just be “Jenn & Joe.” While I think communication is the number one key to a successful relationship of any kind, you definitely need one on one time too. Just to focus our energy and time on just each other was absolutely priceless. We are with each other 24/7, working, raising kids, etc. but it’s been awhile since we just had some simple fun just the two of us.

I think about that quote a lot and sometimes we are in fact stuck with certain things in life–but I am a firm believer of making results not excuses. If you want something badly enough, you will find a way to make it happen. All too often we are fixated on what we can’t do or don’t think we have time for, when in reality with a few subtle mindset shifts, a whole new world of possibilities can be yours.
Don’t waste time. Figure out what matters most and see to it that it happens. Small and steady consistent actions will always lead you down the path of success. Don’t listen to what the negative committee has to say (either in real life or in your head.). Keep going and trust the process. Fight for your dreams and make them come true.
